Romelu Lukaku – 6.8/10: Lukaku couldn’t add to his miserly goal tally against Big Six clubs this season but still made an impact on Saturday, creating problems for Tottenham’s central defenders and inadvertently assisting Herrera’s winner with a loose touch on the edge of the box. It was a selfless performance from the Belgium international, who has clearly improved as a player under Jose Mourinho.
Paul Pogba – 7.6/10: In stark contrast to the last time United faced Spurs at Wembley, when they lost 2-0 and Pogba was hauled off with half an hour left to play, the Frenchman enjoyed a strong display against the Lilywhites on Saturday. His most telling contribution was the superb assist for Sanchez’s goal but the United midfielder also provided far more dynamism and craft than in his previous encounter with Tottenham.
Alexis Sanchez – 8/10: Probably his most important performance so far in a United jersey, Sanchez has a fantastic record at Wembley and added to it with an equaliser on Saturday. The Chile international worked tenaciously out of possession as well, and those two sides to his performance are perhaps why United fans rated it so highly in our poll.
