da pixbet: Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has apologised for getting sent off against Arsenal on Sunday.
The Italy international was dismissed late on in the 1-0 defeat for two bookable offences, and Roberto Mancini has admitted that the temperamental forward will not feature for the Etihad Stadium outfit again this season.
With Balotelli potentially now being sold in the summer, he has apologised for his dismissal and stated that he hopes the red card will not impact upon his future at club or international level.
“I’m really sorry for what happened, for the disappointment I’ve given to Man City and, particularly, to Roberto Mancini, for whom I have a great respect and who I love,” he told ANSA, translated to English by Sky Sports.
“As for my future, we will see at the end of the season. I’ll talk with the club and we will see.
“I would like very much to play for the national team, but yesterday I committed two fouls – they were not reaction fouls.
“I have not broken [Cesare Prandelli’s] code of ethics. I have already missed out on the national team for one stupid thing – I will not do it a second time,” he concluded.
