da leao: Jurgen Klopp must have walked under a few ladders, smashed countless mirrors and even kicked some black cats judging by the terrible luck he’s had with injuries since arriving at Liverpool.
da aviator aposta: In each of his four games the German has been faced with a dilemma up front with the absences of Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings, as well as Christian Benteke’s own fitness concerns, having forced him to call upon his fourth choice man, 20-year-old Belgian Divock Origi.
Naturally, the goals have not been flowing and even though the Reds have looked improved in both midfield and defence under Klopp, their blunt edge has cost them four points from two Premier League draws, Spurs and Southampton, they arguably could have won.
Fans are growing concerned at the lack of options given that both Sturridge and Benteke have shown signs of being injury prone, and talking to Football FanCast, TitanBet brand ambassador, and Kop hero, John Barnes suggested that additions in this area may be needed in January:
“Of course if you look at Daniel Sturridge not being fit, Danny Ings being out and Roberto Firmino not being a proper forward we only have Christian Benteke at the moment, so that’s perhaps an area to maybe get one in.”
Barnes himself talked up “quality” additions on the same subject, which are often hard to come by mid-season. Alas, we’ve looked around to find FIVE excellent and attainable strikers for the Reds come January…

Michy Batshuayi

The quality of football in Ligue 1 has increased markedly in recent years, making snapping up talent from France less and less of a risk.
While Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani are the big money strikers over the Channel, Marseille’s Batshuayi is actually the leading scorer in the top tier with eight in 11 for a struggling l’OM side – who have only netted 13 in league action.
An international team-mate of Origi and Benteke, the 22-year-old is another of Belgium’s extremely talented ‘golden generation’, and much like his aforementioned compatriots he offers pace, power and technique. It’s unlikely that Marseille would settle for a small fee, but Batshuayi would offer a definite injection of quality at Anfield.

Jamie Vardy
With 10 goals in just 10 games, Vardy is not only the Premier League’s top goalscorer, he’s also out-scored the entire Liverpool team.
The 28-year-old has been a breath of fresh air this season, and although some may suggest that this current run of form is a bit of an anomaly – as Harry Kane’s looks to have been last term – there’s no doubting that he’s a dangerous option and one that looks well-suited to a Klopp team.
The 28-year-old is an all-action centre-forward with pace and energy, which has been vital in Leicester’s counter-attacking game alongside the equally impressive Riyad Mahrez.
Reports suggest Liverpool are keeping an eye on him, and with the Foxes boss, Claudio Ranieri, having confessed that the player may be sold, there is a chance of a January deal. Crazy to think that in 2010 Vardy, who has four England caps to his name, was playing for the Stocksbridge Park Steels…

Alexandre Pato
https://vine.co/v/eYBaDiOPrqi/embed/simple
Perhaps a real gamble, Pato does offer high risk, high reward potential. Once one of the most feared strikers on the planet, ‘The Duck’ had the world at his feet in his late teens at AC Milan, but a series of serious injury set-backs decimated his once promising career forcing the Selecao star back to his homeland to recover.
Corinthians gambled on him, and although things didn’t quite work out for him there, Pato has been in terrific form while on loan with top tier rivals Sao Paulo, and his parent club are eager to cash in in January with a fee of £18.6m their set price.
In truth this is a little on the high side and Liverpool may be able to work them down given that they’ve touted the striker around to a number of European clubs.
At 26, the South American still has time on his side and with his fitness record having improved since returning home; perhaps he’s ready for one last shot at success across the Atlantic Ocean.

Kevin Volland
https://vine.co/v/eiF9eM3Pwdp/embed/simple
Klopp’s Bundesliga knowledge is sure to make Volland a player he’s very aware of. A former team-mate of now Anfield star Roberto Firmino, the 23-year-old has been a vital player at Hoffenheim since his 2012 arrival from 1860 Munich, with his work alongside the aforementioned Brazilian key in the attractive attacking performances the club displayed on their way to upper midtable finished in both 2013/14 and 2014/15.
Further to this, even with Hoffenheim struggling his term with only one win in ten Bundesliga matches, Volland has netted five goals – almost 50% of the team’s output – and remains in the German international set-up.
Although a central striker with pace and intense work-rate, the 5ft. 10” attacker can function well from either flank, which would be a bonus for Klopp when he has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Simone Zaza
Although Zaza only signed for Juventus from Sassuolo over the summer, Arsenal almost pulled off a deadline day beating deal to sign him, and there have been suggestions that he’s available on loan in January.
But despite his struggles in Turin, the Italy international remains a feared striker in Serie A after rising through the league ladder in his homeland before finding his feet at the Mapei Stadium.
Zaza averaged close to two goals every three games for Sassuolo as he helped them stay in the top tier, which was enough to tempt Juve. Standing at over 6ft. 1’, the 24-year-old has the physical stature Klopp admires in his forwards, while his hold-up play makes him a viable alternative to Benteke.
